Newsletters
WIMGA Newsletter
A statewide newsletter, produced by the MG Program Office, is direct mailed (or emailed) to paid members of the WI MG Association (WIMGA) and agents involved with the MG Program. WIMGA membership is included in the fees for general training, so all MG students will receive the newsletter for the first year. After that membership is optional, with dues paid through the local association (if there is one) or by individual subscription.

Local Newsletters
Local MG newsletters may be sent out by the UW-Extension agent or the association. If the extension office sends out the newsletter, the county bulk permit system should not be used. The newsletter should not be printed on Extension or UW letterhead, but the UW-Extension and MG Program logos may be used. Newsletters sent out by UW-Extension should be primarily educational or about the MG program, such as announcements regarding volunteer hours, accomplishments, volunteer opportunities and spotlights on individual MGVs. If the newsletter is mailed by the Association, items such as personal information (birthdays, illnesses), association information (minutes, announcement of meeting, officers, dues, etc.) may also be included.
