Highlights of the May 9, 2013 Meeting of the WIMGA Board of Directors
- The Coordinator’s update included information on county fair judges training, a free seed distribution program for school garden projects or food production for low-income areas and food pantries, and notes about some bad email addresses for MGVs on the newsletter distribution list.
- The Advisory Committee met in April and discussed many of the potential upcoming changes to the program. The minutes are available on request.
- The New Association & Board Member Orientation Committee held an orientation for new board members on April 30. Six local reps and one local association officer participated.
- The Northern District Report was deferred again.
- The Procedures Committee has been reviewing the SOP for proposed changes, but needs more time to complete the review. There was a request for one or two additional Board members to help with this assignment and Lynn Caine volunteered. There was a proposal to make two minor changes to the by-laws. The proposed changes will be published in the July newsletter for WIMGA members to review and vote on at the Annual Meeting.
- WIMGA Committee assignments were reviewed and some Board members volunteered to add to or change their assignments.
- The next meeting will be June 13 by WisLine at 4:30 p.m.
