Level 2 Training
Level 2 Training expands upon Level 1 training with more focused horticultural topics. Level 1 training is a prerequisite for all of these courses. These statewide programs are offered in the winter (Feb-March) and spring (March-May) annually. These 6-12 week courses are offered in a set rotation. Some counties may offer different topics at different times so you should contact your local county UW-Extenion office to find out the schedule in your area.
There are two options for taking these courses:
|
Option 1: Participate via your local extension office. (Tuesday nights on specified dates, 6pm to 9pm. Locations to be announced). Join MGV colleagues for a live-broadcast of the lecture via the online learning platform, Blackboard. |
|
Option 2: Enjoy the freedom to view the lecture from your own home and at your leisure! Archives of the live-broadcasts will be e-mailed to you after the conclusion of each session. These archives will be available using the online program Blackboard Collaborate.
Due to everyone’s computer being different we cannot offer technical support or configuration assistance. |
The cost of the program (either option) includes a manual. A Level 2 binder is available for additional cost (Link to order binder - not functional yet). It is recommended but not required. Level 2 binders will include complimentary materials to the Level 2 training, such as publications, factsheets and additional resources. Individuals may choose to purchase their own binders or groups may wish to share a single binder. Please note a limited supply of binders will be created and will be available only as long as supplies last. Binders will be available for purchase via the UWEX Learning Store.
