MGV Name Badges
All Certified MGVs are eligible to order a Wisconsin MGV name badge (any MGV who is active and has completed their initial certification within the last year or is currently recertified). This is verified by the MG Program Office from the database of volunteer hour records submitted by local associations/counties.
The official WIMGA name badge is white plastic with screenprinted logos, engraved letters and a pin back, and is approximately 2 x 3½ inches.
Group orders through Associations or County UW-Extension offices are preferred rather than individual orders (to save on delivery costs). If you are not affiliated with a local association, you may send in your own order form and payment.
In some counties name badges are paid for by the county UW-Extension office or Local Association, but in other areas name badges are paid for individually by MGVs but submitted as a group order (individual checks can be sent; the order does not have to be paid for with a single check). Consult your UWEX office or Association to determine the policy in your area.
Order name badges from the MG Program Coordinator. Currently name badges are $6.50 each (with a $2.00 s/h fee for orders of 3 or less), and payment from individuals should accompany any badge order. There is also an option for a magnetic fastener instead of the standard pin back, for an extra $1 per badge. This must be noted on the order form and the addtional cost added (so badges with a magnetic fastener are $7.50 each). Group orders may request an invoice to be sent upon delivery. Checks must be made payable to "UW-Horticulture".
Name badges are delivered as soon as possible, but because names are held until there is a minimum number, the length of time will vary considerably. An estimated arrival date will be provided with the confirmation of the order.
