Current Accomplishment Report Summary

Master Gardeners in Wisconsin:

  • Volunteered 201,670 hours to UW-Extension and their communities:
    • 12,898 hours in Youth Education
    • 35,695 hours in Community Education
    • 153,079 hours in Support Services
  • This represents an average of approximately 65 hours of service per volunteer annually.
  • Participated in over 67,109 continuing education hours to keep them actively learning and updated.
  • These hours represent the contributions of members of the 53 local associations affiliated with the WIMGA (in 2012) as well as MG activities from counties that have not yet formed official local associations.
  • Today there are over 2,866 trained MGVs who are certified or recertified for 2013.
  • Approximately 745 MGVs trained in 2012 are working to complete their initial certification.
  • Outstanding accomplishments in cumulative volunteer efforts through 2012 include:
    • 3,448 with 150 hours of service (250 new this year)
    • 2,263 with 250 hours of service (237)
    • 1,073 with 500 hours of service (125)
    • 618 with 750 hours of service (72)
    • 408 with 1,000 hours of service (46)
    • 70 with 2500 hours of service (9)
    • 18 with 5000 hours of service (2)
    • 2 with 10000 hours of service (0)
    • 1 with 15000 hours of service (0)

Search
